As with many emerging economies, unemployment remains a significant challenge in Algeria. Job creation is a key prerequisite for economic prosperity both for country and population. With a good base education and a rich pool of graduates, an important remaining piece in Algeria revolves around the need for quality Technical and Professional vocational training, as well as the need to align with internationally recognised training qualifications, legal frameworks and policies. Algeria's economic transition plan has identified and is actively courting investment partnerships to establish a high quality and technologically advanced manufacturing capability, in order to drive exports in particular to neighboring Europe. Coupled with this, the dynamic and growing middle class in Algeria is creating local demand for a better retail experience, more international brand availability in products and services for consumers to spend disposable income on. A great number of opportunities therefore exist for international partnerships across varied sectors and at all levels of the economic landscape.
